IT Home On August 10, it was reported that according to Nokia's official press release, Nokia announced that it would cooperate with Swiss Telecom Broadcast to deploy the "world's largest" UAV 5G communication network in Switzerland.
IT Home learned that, The communication network will cover the whole country of Switzerland, consisting of 300 Nokia 5G UAVs, mainly used for remote area task communication, disaster area emergency communication response and other scenarios 。 The end user only needs to request UAV communication (similar to carpooling service) from Swiss Telecom Broadcasting Corporation, and the UAV will arrive after a moment, at which time relevant users can send and receive real-time information through the UAV.
Nokia said that this is the second "national" UAV network project established by the company following Belgium's "Citymesh" plan. The related plan will help Switzerland's public security and industry 4.0, and highlight Nokia's advantages in digital infrastructure project modernization and mission critical industrial edge computing (MXIE).
In terms of UAVs, Nokia currently mainly uses the "Nokia Drone" 5G UAV to build communication services, which uses a six axis design, With 30 Multiple optical zoom camera, optional “ Thermal imaging ” 、 “ Lidar ” Equal module, endurance 50 Minutes, maximum flying time 30 kilometre 。
